DIY Kits

Thanks for getting a DIY kit from Lacey Lane!

Here's a run down on the basics and then some extra tips and tricks. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me!

1. Paint your kit! If you have pop outs - leave in the frame for easy painting and once dry, push out of the frame. If not, you can use masking tape to hold items in place.

 .
2. Glue your items! A little glue goes a long way. Dab on a paper towel if there is excess before attaching. Glue dries mostly clear if some does seep out.
3. Add your string, bead, and ribbon! Tie your string in a loop on one end. On the doubled over side of your loop string on your bead. Slide the bead up close to the knot and then slide the string loop into your ornament. Wrap the doubled over end over your knot and bead but before pulling tight slide your ribbon into the loop your ornament runs through then pull the string tight and slide the bead down to secure ribbon in place.
If you have scored lines on your kit, lightly dab the paint on with a makeup sponge. Repeat until item is painted but make sure to do very light layers and dab.
If you use too much paint and fill in the scored lines - use a fine point Sharpie marker to outline the lines after it is painted.
For small details - like eyes and smaller places to fill in with paint - you can use a toothpick to add the paint.
